First: what TribuCare is and is not
TribuCare is a shared notebook, not a doctor.
The app helps you write things down and remember them: what medication someone takes and when, when their next appointment is, what symptoms they have had, how a child is growing. It calculates schedules from what you enter and alerts you. That is all it does.
TribuCare does not:
- Diagnose, or suggest diagnoses.
- Prescribe, or recommend medications, doses or treatments.
- Check whether what you entered is correct. If you type 500 mg where the doctor said 50 mg, the app will remind you of 500 mg punctually every day.
- Detect drug interactions, contraindications or allergies.
- Replace a doctor, a nurse, a pharmacist or a consultation.
- Work for emergencies. In a medical emergency call 911, do not open the app.
Growth percentile charts and developmental milestone lists use World Health Organization references and show a statistical position, not a verdict. A child outside a band does not mean there is a problem, and inside one does not mean there is not. Their pediatrician interprets those numbers. The same goes for the vaccination schedule: what the app shows is a general reference and may not match the one that applies to your patient.
Medical decisions are made by a health professional. Always.
Reminders
TribuCare's alerts are scheduled and fire inside your phone. That makes them work without internet, but it also means they depend on your device.
A reminder may not fire if you turned the phone off, revoked the app's notification permission, if the operating system closed it to save battery, if your battery died, or if too many alerts are scheduled at once — iOS allows only 64 pending alarms per app, and TribuCare splits that budget across every medication and appointment.
Do not use TribuCare as your only way to remember a critical medication. It is a help, not a backup. If a dose cannot be missed, keep a second reminder that does not depend on this app.
Who may use the app
You must be of legal age and able to enter into a binding agreement.
If you register another person — your mother, your father, your child, someone in your care — you state that you have the legal authority to do so and to authorize the processing of their health data. TribuCare has no way to verify this and relies on your statement.
If you invite someone to a circle, that person will see the patient's entire record. There are no partial views or per-section permissions. Invite only those who should have that access, and remove it when it no longer applies.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens with your account and for keeping your password safe. If you suspect someone else got in, write to soporte@tribucare.app.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. What happens to the records is described in the Privacy Notice, and in short: patients nobody else cares for are deleted with you, and those other circle members still care for survive with them.
What you enter is yours
The content you record — the patient's data, the notes, the documents you upload — remains yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the circle members you authorized, for the sole purpose of making the app work. Nothing else.
The two AI features
They are optional, they ask your permission before first use, and they are turned off in Settings → Optional features.
The assistant answers questions about how to use the app. It receives no patient data and does not answer health questions. It can be wrong about the app like any program. Do not ask it for medical advice.
The box scanner reads a photo of a package and proposes the name, dose, unit count and expiry. Proposes: it saves nothing on its own. It always shows you what it read so you can check it, and that check is your responsibility. A scanner can misread a number, and on a medication a misread number matters.
Neither reads or returns the frequency or duration of a treatment, even when printed on the box. That schedule is set by a doctor for a specific patient.
You can use all of TribuCare without touching either one.
Acceptable use
Do not use TribuCare to record data about people without their authorization or without authority to represent them, to harass or monitor anyone, to attempt to access records that are not yours, or for any unlawful purpose. Do not attempt to extract data automatically, overload the service, or bypass its usage limits.
We may suspend an account that breaks this.
Availability
We do what is reasonable to keep TribuCare working, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of errors. There may be maintenance, failures at providers we depend on, or releases with defects.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The app can export the history from Settings.
Limitation of liability
TribuCare is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from: health decisions made based on information in the app, reminders that did not fire or fired late, data entered incorrectly by you or another circle member, misreadings by the scanner, wrong answers from the assistant, service interruptions, or access you yourself authorized by inviting someone to a circle.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. For any dispute, the competent courts are those of Imperial County, California.
Changes to these terms
We will publish them here with their date. If a change is material we will tell you inside the app. Continuing to use TribuCare after they take effect means you accept them.
